What does 5% tint look like?

How it looks

The darkest shade most shops carry. Only about 5% of visible light gets through, so from outside the glass reads black and you cannot see in during the day.

Who picks it

People pick 5% for privacy and for the blacked-out look, usually on the rear half of a truck or SUV. It is dark from the inside at night too, so think about how much night driving you do before you put it on glass you look through.

Is it legal in Arizona?

In Arizona this shade is legal on the back side windows and the rear glass, where you can go as dark as you want. Front side windows have to let more than 33% of light through, so it is too dark for the front doors of a street vehicle. Read the full guide.
