Prescott
Prescott sits a mile high, and UV exposure climbs with elevation. A truck parked all afternoon near the courthouse plaza or out at Watson Lake takes more sun than the same truck would in Phoenix shade. Interiors here crack and fade on the dash first.

Prescott Valley has grown fast, and most of it is new construction with young trees and open parking. Between Glassford Hill and the Highway 69 corridor there is very little natural shade, so daily drivers here bake in full sun most of the day.

Chino Valley is ranch country along Highway 89: wide open, windy, and dusty. Trucks and work rigs out here spend whole days in unbroken sun, and wind-driven grit is hard on cheap film edges. Quality film and clean edge work matter more, not less.

Dewey-Humboldt is two old mining towns under one name on the Highway 69 corridor. Plenty of residents commute into Prescott Valley or Prescott daily, which means an hour or more of windshield sun each day on Highway 69 alone.

Camp Verde
Camp Verde sits two thousand feet lower than Prescott, and summer shows it: the Verde Valley runs hotter, and anything parked along the I-17 corridor cooks. Heat rejection, not just darkness, is what a Camp Verde vehicle actually needs from film.

Cottonwood is the commercial hub of the Verde Valley, and it shares the valley's heat: noticeably hotter than Prescott across the summer. Between Old Town and the 89A commercial strip, most parking is uncovered lot parking in full sun.

Paulden
Paulden sits north of Chino Valley on Highway 89, in the Big Chino. It is rural, spread out, and short on services, so most vehicle work means a drive south anyway. Worth booking tint the same trip you run other Prescott errands.
