The shades on this job
- 5% tint (limo tint)
- The darkest shade most shops carry. Only about 5% of visible light gets through, so from outside the glass reads black and you cannot see in during the day.
- 25% tint (medium-dark)
- A step lighter than factory privacy glass. Clearly tinted, but you can see the driver through it in daylight.
In Arizona the back side windows and rear glass can be any shade. Front side windows have to let more than 33% of light through.
Reading the notes
- Sun strip
- Also called a visor strip or brow: a band of film across the top of the windshield that blocks the low sun a visor misses.
- Front match
- Front door windows tinted to the same darkness as the rear glass, so the vehicle reads as one even shade.
- Vinyl wrap
- Colored vinyl film over the paint. It changes the look without touching the paint underneath.
