How Much Does Window Tinting Cost in Prescott?
Most tint shops make you call to find out what anything costs. We publish the sheet. This guide walks through what window tinting costs in Prescott, Prescott Valley, and the rest of the 928, why the numbers land where they do, and where the money actually goes when film meets glass.
The short answer: our actual price sheet
These are the same numbers on our pricing page, and the same numbers your quote is built from:
- Windshield sun strip: $50 carbon
- Front two windows: $100 carbon, $150 ceramic
- Full windshield: $200 carbon, $250 ceramic
- Full vehicle, 2-door truck: $250 carbon, $350 ceramic
- Full vehicle, 4-door sedan or truck: $350 carbon, $450 ceramic
- Full vehicle, SUV or crossover: $350 carbon, $500 ceramic
Heavy equipment, boats, RVs, semis, fleet accounts, and home and business glass are quoted per job, because a skid steer cab and a wall of west-facing sliders have nothing in common except sun.
What actually changes the price
1. Body style, not badge
A $90,000 truck and a $9,000 truck with the same cab cost the same to tint. What moves the number is glass: how many windows, how big they are, and how hard they are to work. A 2-door pickup has three pieces of glass behind the driver. A crossover can have seven, some of them curved, some of them behind trim that takes patience to work around. That is why the sheet prices by body style instead of by vehicle brand.
2. Film tier
We install two sheet-priced tiers, carbon and ceramic, plus a premium nano-ceramic tier that gets quoted per vehicle. Carbon blocks solid heat and never fades purple. Ceramic rejects far more infrared heat and holds 99% of UV even in a nearly clear shade. The ceramic column runs $50 to $150 more than carbon, and in Arizona sun most customers decide it is the cheaper film per summer survived.
3. Coverage
Not every vehicle needs the full sheet. Trucks and SUVs that came from the factory with dark privacy glass usually just need the front two windows matched, which is why that line exists at $100 and $150. A commuter who mostly fights sunrise glare on Highway 69 sometimes starts with a $50 sun strip and nothing else.
Why the cheap quote around town costs double
Somebody in every Facebook group will tint a sedan for less than our carbon price. Here is how that math usually ends. Bargain installs use dyed film, and dyed film loses its fight with mile-high UV in a few summers: it turns purple, it bubbles, and the only fix is removal, which costs real labor because the adhesive stays behind and the rear defroster lines sit right where the scraping happens. Then the glass gets tinted again, this time with film that belongs here. Two installs and a removal is the expensive way to buy one good tint job.
The rule that saves money: buy the film for the climate, not the price for the weekend. We do not install dyed film at any price, and that policy started with how many purple vehicles we strip.
What the price includes
The number on the sheet covers the film, the install, and the workmanship: glass cleaned and prepped, film cut to your windows, edges finished tight. That is the price at the shop in Prescott Valley. If you need mobile service, a travel charge based on distance gets built into the quote before you say yes. Nobody discovers a fee on install day.
Windshields, strips, and the legal part
Arizona lets you run a sun strip above the AS-1 line, and full windshields go on in light, nearly clear ceramic that cuts heat without darkness. Front side windows have to pass more than 33% of light, and everything behind the driver can go as dark as you want. The shades on your quote will always be legal ones, and the whole law lives in plain English in our Arizona tint law guide.
Pricing around the 928
The sheet holds across the service area. Whether you drive in from Prescott, live around the corner in Prescott Valley, or we come out to Paulden where the Big Chino starts, the service price is the service price. On a mobile job, distance shows up as its own line in the quote, never as a mystery markup on the work.
