What went on the glass

- And a 35% ceramic IR on the full windshield to keep this customer cool and comfortable on the road

The shades on this job
- 15% tint (dark)
- Dark, but not blacked out. In daylight you can make out shapes inside if you look for them. From across a parking lot the glass still reads black.
- 35% tint (medium)
- Clearly tinted without being dark. You can see into the car in daylight, and seeing out at night is easy.
In Arizona the back side windows and rear glass can be any shade. Front side windows have to let more than 33% of light through.
Reading the notes
- Full windshield
- Film over the whole windshield, usually a light shade picked for heat rather than looks. Arizona only allows windshield tint above the AS-1 line, so ask before you copy this one.
- Metered reading
- The light actually getting through the finished glass, measured with a tint meter. It comes in lower than the film's number because the glass itself is not perfectly clear.
- C-IR
- Ceramic infrared film: a ceramic film built to reject the infrared part of sunlight, which is the part you feel as heat.
- Ceramic
- Ceramic film rejects infrared heat and blocks 99% of UV at any darkness, even nearly clear.
