Rockwood travel trailer, 15% over factory smoked glass, from 928 Tint, serving Chino Valley and the quad-cities
From Jonny's portfolio. His install, his photos.
What went on the glass
- We added a 15% over the factory smoked glass on this one to cut down the heat coming in and add in some more privacy
The notes are Jonny's own from the day of the job. Want the same look? See what tint costs and check the Arizona tint law guide before you pick a shade for your front windows.

The shades on this job
- 15% tint (dark)
- Dark, but not blacked out. In daylight you can make out shapes inside if you look for them. From across a parking lot the glass still reads black.
In Arizona the back side windows and rear glass can be any shade. Front side windows have to let more than 33% of light through.
Reading the notes
- Over factory privacy glass
- Privacy glass is dyed glass: dark, but weak at stopping heat. Film goes on top of it, which is why the finished glass reads darker than the number on the film.
- Smoke film
- Tinted film over a light lens for a darker look. The shade has to stay light enough for the light to do its job.
